IMG_1008.jpg

The TCS Posse is an equestrian riding club affiliated with the Sheriff’s Office. Founded in 1958 by Sheriff Harlan Wright, the posse represents the Sheriff’s Office at ceremonial events, parades and community functions, including those at the Fort Worth Stockyards. This group of volunteers are the “Good Will Ambassadors” of the Sheriff’s Office, and help to continue the western heritage of the Texas Sheriff, especially in Tarrant County, which is known as the place “Where the West Begins.”

Since 2016, Stockyards Heritage Development Co. has hosted the Tarrant County Sheriff's Posse at Stockyards Station before they go on the trail for a fun day of riding, a Chuck Wagon style lunch, entertainment and door prizes given out during lunch.
