Wow your friends and out-of-town guest with a real-life cattle drive. The Fort Worth Herd presents Stockyard visitors with a glimpse into Fort Worth's rich Western heritage with the world's only twice-daily cattle drive. In preserving its heritage as Cowtown, the City of Fort Worth has its own herd of 16 Texas Longhorns – one for each decade of Fort Worth's 160-year history.
Everyday at 11:30am and 4pm (weather permitting), the cattle drive travels through the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards on East Exchange Avenue in front of the Fort Worth Livestock Exchange Building and then back to the holding pens behind the Livestock Exchange Building.
Between drives, the Fort Worth Herd Steers can be viewed and photographed daily in their pens behind the Livestock Exchange building on East Exchange Avenue.
